Song-Poetry

But I try to catch em all!

-Radhika mishra

Another munchie packet,
Swiping on my life left to right,
Sewing my same old jacket,
Counting shooting stars each night.

Plucking on white Delilahs,
Trimming my hair too short,
Dressing on white satin dresses,
Humming the same old song.

Same old bedsheets on the bed,
Same old song on the radio,
Same old country roads I walk to,
Same old hopes, all lost, but I try to catch em all!

Another day wearing dreary,
Love my mismatch socks,
Times all gone empty,
Winding-unwinding the clocks!

Same old sunny side ups,
Cookies and tea this time,
Another cup i cracked up,
And love this song the way it rhymes!

Same old bedsheets on the bed,
Same old song on the radio,
Same old country roads I walk to,
Same old hopes, all lost, but I try to catch em all!

Same old love i try to find,
Same old tears we used to cry,
Same old laughs that I’d hide,
Same old hopes, all lost, but I try to catch em all!
